Doomben R1 - 2 Competitive Edge (@ 12.40pm)
Hit the line strongly for 3rd place at debut Aug 6 Doomben over 1100m. Extra distance and inside run will suit today. (Favourite)
Gosford R1 - 1 Hangover Henry (@ 12.50pm)
Raced strongly in last to take the win over 1500m. Has shown a consistent improvement in form over last 2 months. Should handle extra distance and will loom a threat in final straight (Each-Way). Note: look for the box trifecta with #3 and #4.
Sandown R2 – 7 Red Buttons (@ 1.42pm)
Looks the won to beat here. Will appreciate stepping back to 2100m from the 2400m last start. Can handle the heavy track and should prove to good. (Favourite)
Doomben R3 - 1 Three Little Words (@ 1.50pm)
Sticking with this horse after showing fine form to run up 2nd place after a troubled start Aug 9. Should be in the finish again today. (Each-Way)
Sandown R3 – 3 Speedymac (@ 2.17pm)
Has been there abouts in its last couple of starts. These have been against classier fields, which should prove the difference today. (Favourite)
Gosford R4 5 Leica Lotto (@ 2.35pm)
Held on for third in last over 1400m with an impressive last 200m. Has been showing good form and extra distance will suit. Must be considered (Each-Way). Note: Try a box trifecta with #2 and #3
Doomben R5 - 8 Life's Short (@ 3.00pm)
Consistent top placed horse that is suited this distance and track. Up in class slightly, but has great opportunities from the rails run to mix it up with the field. (Value)
Gosford R5 9 Shoba Princess (@ 3.10pm)
Ran solidly in last over 1900m to claim the win at this weight. Lead up form has been impressive and should dig deep to claim first win over this distance (Favourite).
Sandown R5 –7 Scenic Bullet (@ 3.27pm)
An impressive record in WA. Won last prep first up and could surprise here. Has won from 1000m to 2400m so the distance should be no problem but no form on a heavy track. (Value)
Gosford R6 4 Rock Song (@ 3.45pm)
Scored an impressive win in last over 1400m. Drawn well for another solid show. (Favourite).
Sandown R6 – 8 Belleza Veloz (@ 4.05pm)
Two starts back have both been impressive. Up against some class horses resuming but you cant ignore winning form. Won last start on a heavy track and should make it a hat trick today. (Each-Way)
Doomben R7 - 10 Rustic Rossa (@ 4.13pm)
Unlucky last start when strong finish for long head 2nd over 1300m after interference early. Inside rail and super light weight should get this one home today. (Favourite)
Gosford R7 6 Inspired Choice (@ 4.25pm)
Got lead in last only to be beaten by a nose hair at this distance. Has been placed in four out of five last starts. Treat warily. (Value)
