Its out to Geelong for the Geelong Cup today. Great day at Caulfield on Saturday with five winners. Did not get the Caulfield Cup but its an omonous sign that the foriegn raiders maybe in form this year. We will see on Saturday with the Coxs Plate.
But for today its the Geelong Cup.
Here are all the tips.
Geelong R1 – Market Square Shopping Centre @ 12.15pm
1. #7 – Coppervue
In form racer how has just been getting better. This is the biggest test to date and could be threatened by Coconut Grove. Trust form though, should win
2. #4 – Cocunut Grove
3. #3 – Prince Vitality
4. #6 – Schawmen
Geelong R2 – Myer Handicap@ 12.50pm
1. #7 – Rock Home Late
Came back from a spell and has not looked back. Back to back wins and this does not look any harder. Steel Lips is the treat.
2. #3 – Steel Lips
3. #4 – Sir Penthouse
4. #8 – Can’t Wait
Geelong R3 – The Geelong Australia Handicap @ 1.35pm
1. #3 - Owzat
Ran three seconds in a row before being freshened for this. Williams gets on board today and could provide the difference. Wide open race but looks to have the ability.
2. #1 – Test Century
3. #7 – Bruno’s Sister
4. #8 – Powerhall
Geelong R4 – Lamby’s Tavern Handicap @ 2.00pm
1. #5 – Maxikam
A win and two placings in the last three starts have this horse in good form. Rawiller gets on board today and with that combination looks to good for these.
2. #4 – Lansell
3. #7 – Runs to Rule
4. #9 – Billecart
Geelong R5 – Cadbury Schweppes Handicap @ 2.35pm
1. #2 - Red Maloney
Really impressive win last start defeating a similar class field by 2.3L. Seems to have hit a purple patch of late and should carry that form through.
2. #1 – Bel Spur
3. #3 – Tuscalyno
4. #11 – Super Felix
Geelong R6–Chisholm Petroleum Handicap @ 3.10pm
1. #7 – Awakening Dream
Charged home late for a win first up and then placed second up at 3000m Steps back here and should be able to run over the top of these.
2. #1 – July
3. #4 – Joan of Arc
4. #8 – Cheddington
Geelong R7 – Chargold Geelong Classic @ 3.45pm
1. #6 – Memorise
A horse, which the Syndicate has backed before. Has class and has been there abouts in all its starts but yet to get his maiden. This is an open race however and hopefully the class will shine through.
2. #5 – Palm Trilogy
3. #3 – Tuscany View
4. #7 – Beware the Tiger
Geelong R8 – Petstock Geelong Cup @ 4.25pm
1. #1 – Light Vision
Has had good form in tough races. Others have gone on to win up in class and so should Light Vision. Wolverine looks the only real danger. Bauer the import from the UK does not look to have any form lines and I can’t see close.
2. #6 – Wolverine
3. #7 – Largo Lad
4. #3 – Guyno
Geelong R9 – Emu Australia Handicap @ 5.05pm
1. #4 – Diplomatic Strike
Good win last start and in a field with no real competition looks to be a short price favourite.
2. #3 – Kentucky Wildcat
3. #9 – The Original
4. #7 – Ortayga
Geelong R10 – Geelong Milk/Pura Dual Choice @ 5.45pm
1. #9 – Gran Sasso
Has not been far away in any of his starts this prep. Should be right there again. Threedee is the only threat
2. #1 – Threedee
3. #4 – Tour Guide
4. #2 – Itsamonty
Update Geelong Race 10 - Gran Sasso and Threedee scratched. Tour Guide for the win
