Moonee Valley Free Horse Tips
Its Cox Plate day at Moonee Valley with a another bumper 10 race program. Will all the focus will be on the Tatts W S Cox Plate there is plenty of other good racing around.
Here are all you winner for today:
Updated @ 11.00am following annoucement of scratchings
Moonee Valley R1 – 1300 Australia Flying @ 11.30am
1. #9 – Maxisun
An impressive win last start. Step up here but so far has handled everything put before him. Couple of threats here but if he can repeat last should win well.
2. #5 – Grand Sasso
3. #6 – Allied Force
4. #2 – Mrs Waters
Moonee Valley R2 – Inglis Juvenile@ 12.05pm
1. #7 – Our Joan of Arc
First up win in a 2yo listed over Horizons who won easily last weekend in Sydney. First up here but appears to be a class above the rest.
2. #6 – Starspangledbanner
3. #12 – Genuine Stunner
4. #5 – Bawaardi
Moonee Valley R3 – Arrow Training Services Stakes @ 12.40pm
1. #2 – Fly Higher
Has been racing up in class recently. Miss Scarletti has been scratched and Dunn has taken the ride on Fly Higher over Charzoo so must trust that. Open race here so watch market for possible surprise.
2. #6 – Returntosender
3. #7 – Bauble
4. #4 - Avionics
Moonee Valley R4 –Wonderful World Stakes @ 1.20pm
1. #Ooleo
Won 2 and placed 2 starts this prep is hard to fault. An open race here with no clear favourite you have to look at the form. First run here but willing to risk.
2. #10 – Millbank
3. #1 – Arjuna
4. #5 - Montana Flyer
Moonee Valley R5 –Schweppes Stakes @ 2.00pm
1. #2 - Typhoon Zed
Last start the slow track did not suit. Back up on top here and should be hard to beat. Won the Manikato Stakes here to starts back and should see the same result today.
2. #4 – Lucky Secret
3. #8 – Morgan Dollar
4. #12 – Bel Mer
Moonee Valley R6 –AAMI Vase @ 2.40pm
1. #1 – Whobegotyou
Going to jump a short price favourite here but deservedly so. At set weights he looks unbeatable. Out to 2000m for the first time but should still handle. All on the nose for favourite here.
2. #3 – Sousa
3. #2 – Carnero
4. #5 – Dual Hemisphere
Moonee Valley R7 – Cathay Pacific Airways Cup @ 3.20pm
1. #3 – Baughurst
Backed him last week in the David Jones Cup and he came away with a good win. Steps up to G2 here but so do most of them. Should be tougher here with a number of chances but a repeat of last week will see him get it easily.
2. #2 - Ice Chariot
3. #5 – Red Lord
4. #13 – Largo Lad
Moonee Valley R8 – Tatts W S Cox Plate @ 4.05pm
1. #9 Princess Coup
She has been set for this race and the form suggests that she should win. Been beating Norm du Jeu in NZ which came over and ran close second last weekend in the Caulfield Cup suggests that the form is spot on. Bosson the NZ jockey is on which is a bit of a negative but he has a great record with her and this could at the 4 G1 races she already has won.
2. #12 – Samantha Miss
A sentimental favourite. She has been racing so well this prep that you wonder if anything can stop her. Steps up to 2000m here and with Boss she will be right there. He is very light but and I think that maybe this is one to many. Don’t right off though
3. #7 – Alamosa
A Syndicate favourite here. Have backed him all season and saw him get up in the Toorak for a good win. Has struggled at WFA this prep so can’t pick here. Princess Coup and Samantha Miss just look that bit to good.
4. #3 – Zipping
The forgotten horse. Has slowly been building form and could surprise all these. 3rd in the Turnbull shows that he is getting close. Could be a surprise winner.
Moonee Valley R9 Jayco Crystall Mile – @ 4.50pm
1. #8 – Rockwood
Been close last to starts and finds a weaker field here. Has the wood on a couple of these starters and should get his first win the prep.
2. #5 - Conquering
3. #6 – Sea Battle
4. #8 – Pillar of Hercules
Moonee Valley R10 – Inglis Mile @ 5.35pm
1. #9 Bird of Fire
Placed here 3 starts back in a G2 so can handle the class. Finished just behind Miss Badoura last start but can make up for that here. Can win this
2. #3 – Miss Badoura
3. #5 – Guild
4. #10 – Game Serena

Free Horse Tips Geelong 22/10/2008
Its out to Geelong for the Geelong Cup today. Great day at Caulfield on Saturday with five winners. Did not get the Caulfield Cup but its an omonous sign that the foriegn raiders maybe in form this year. We will see on Saturday with the Coxs Plate.
But for today its the Geelong Cup.
Here are all the tips.
Geelong R1 – Market Square Shopping Centre @ 12.15pm
1. #7 – Coppervue
In form racer how has just been getting better. This is the biggest test to date and could be threatened by Coconut Grove. Trust form though, should win
2. #4 – Cocunut Grove
3. #3 – Prince Vitality
4. #6 – Schawmen
Geelong R2 – Myer Handicap@ 12.50pm
1. #7 – Rock Home Late
Came back from a spell and has not looked back. Back to back wins and this does not look any harder. Steel Lips is the treat.
2. #3 – Steel Lips
3. #4 – Sir Penthouse
4. #8 – Can’t Wait
Geelong R3 – The Geelong Australia Handicap @ 1.35pm
1. #3 - Owzat
Ran three seconds in a row before being freshened for this. Williams gets on board today and could provide the difference. Wide open race but looks to have the ability.
2. #1 – Test Century
3. #7 – Bruno’s Sister
4. #8 – Powerhall
Geelong R4 – Lamby’s Tavern Handicap @ 2.00pm
1. #5 – Maxikam
A win and two placings in the last three starts have this horse in good form. Rawiller gets on board today and with that combination looks to good for these.
2. #4 – Lansell
3. #7 – Runs to Rule
4. #9 – Billecart
Geelong R5 – Cadbury Schweppes Handicap @ 2.35pm
1. #2 - Red Maloney
Really impressive win last start defeating a similar class field by 2.3L. Seems to have hit a purple patch of late and should carry that form through.
2. #1 – Bel Spur
3. #3 – Tuscalyno
4. #11 – Super Felix
Geelong R6–Chisholm Petroleum Handicap @ 3.10pm
1. #7 – Awakening Dream
Charged home late for a win first up and then placed second up at 3000m Steps back here and should be able to run over the top of these.
2. #1 – July
3. #4 – Joan of Arc
4. #8 – Cheddington
Geelong R7 – Chargold Geelong Classic @ 3.45pm
1. #6 – Memorise
A horse, which the Syndicate has backed before. Has class and has been there abouts in all its starts but yet to get his maiden. This is an open race however and hopefully the class will shine through.
2. #5 – Palm Trilogy
3. #3 – Tuscany View
4. #7 – Beware the Tiger
Geelong R8 – Petstock Geelong Cup @ 4.25pm
1. #1 – Light Vision
Has had good form in tough races. Others have gone on to win up in class and so should Light Vision. Wolverine looks the only real danger. Bauer the import from the UK does not look to have any form lines and I can’t see close.
2. #6 – Wolverine
3. #7 – Largo Lad
4. #3 – Guyno
Geelong R9 – Emu Australia Handicap @ 5.05pm
1. #4 – Diplomatic Strike
Good win last start and in a field with no real competition looks to be a short price favourite.
2. #3 – Kentucky Wildcat
3. #9 – The Original
4. #7 – Ortayga
Geelong R10 – Geelong Milk/Pura Dual Choice @ 5.45pm
1. #9 – Gran Sasso
Has not been far away in any of his starts this prep. Should be right there again. Threedee is the only threat
2. #1 – Threedee
3. #4 – Tour Guide
4. #2 – Itsamonty
Update Geelong Race 10 - Gran Sasso and Threedee scratched. Tour Guide for the win

Caulfield Free Horse Tips - 15/10/2008
Had a good day on Saturday with Alomosa getting up and a couple of handy palces. Today it is Thousand Guineas at Caulfield. 8 races today so plenty of chances to be had.
Here are today's tips
Caulfield R1 – Pura Light Start Plate @ 12.35pm
1. #2 – Bright Deputy
This colt has been racing well in country races recently and steps up today. First crack @ 1600 but last win was a dominating win @ 1450 so distance should not be a problem
2. #4 – Buffett
Only the one win last start in a maiden but 6L suggests that this is a good horse. Oliver keeps the ride and could threaten
3. #5 Lucky Thunder
Missed the start last time against classy field and could never get back in it. Should do better today.
4. #3 – Infatuation
Had been racing well til last start @ Flemington. Williams on but place looks best.
Caulfield R2 – The Inglis Debutants Stakes @ 1.10pm
1. #9 – Dancescape
Ran second in a llisted race first up which shows class.A Danehill Dancer filly who just looks to classy for this field.
2. #1 – French General
A good win first up in Sth Aust. Kicked away to win by 1.5L. Rawiller on board and looks to be the main threat.
3. #8 – Come Hither
Another who had a solid run first up in a listed race. Classy filly who will be there abouts.
4. #5 – Othello
First up here but from the Hayes stable with Williams on board. A Encosta de Lago filly completes this package. Watch the market, could surprise.
Caulfield R3 – Ladies Day Plate @ 1.45pm
1. #3 – Invinciblekindness
You can’t beat form and with 3 wins in a row this prep he looks the one to beat. Steps up here to 2000 (from 1600) and to the city but has met every challenge so far this prep. Can fault
2. #4 – Makeadreamcometrue
Has been close recently with out luck. Winks is off today for Arnold that could prove the difference.
3. #7 - Doosra Diamond
Has been winning in lesser races. Loves the 2000m but place looks best chance.
4. #6 China Causeway
Well bread horse that has been hit and miss. Placed last start behind Doosra Diamond and place looks best chance again.
Caulfield R4 – Rokk Ebony Cup @ 2.20pm
1. #5 – Born Princess
Two starts of two wins. Up to mid-week here but should not be much harder. Favourite
2. #1 – Penny Banger
Won last start first up and has not been beaten @ this distance. Oliver on. Trialed well couple of weeks back and should run on.
3. #12 - .Tango’s Choice
Won a country maiden last start in reasonable style. This looks to be c bit harder but should be there abouts.
4. #13 Seeking Attention
Two starts back have not been impressive but it took a couple of runs last start to hit form. This may prove to much just yet but should be in the places.
Caulfield R5 – Mitty’s Cup @ 3.00pm
1. #2 – Sunburnt Land
A Syndicate favourite how has not disappointed yet. Scratched recently but just looks to be a class above them all here.
2. #5 – Colonel Parker
Ran on last start to just miss on a place. Has a good record 2nd up and @ this distance. Would prefer if drawn wider.
3. #7 – Count to Zero
This is the surprise. Not a great first up run when finishing 8th but has a great record 2nd up. Could be the surprise packet. Watch the market.
4. #9 – Let Loushe
Has been racing well but tends to when fresh. 3rd up here and even with a good win last start, I am not sure. Keep safe.
Caulfield R6 – Schweppes Thousand Guineas @ 3.40
1. #2 – Gallica
Can’t go past this filly. Took on most of the contenders here in the Edward Manifold Stakes and beat them so hard to fault. Will win again
2. #8 – Romneya
Has been the bridesmaid this prep and that looks to be where she will finish again. Great horse that just can’t seem to win.
3. #6 – Dan Barobess
Racing well in Group races. Impressive run two starts back before failing to win in less race last start. Place looks best
4. #9 – Kimillsy
Has been racing well in class races in Sydney. First look here and would have preferred to have seen her race this way round. Could surprise.
Caulfield R7 – Carsales.com.au Classic @ 4.20pm
1. #7 – Dane Julia
Got close in a couple of group races earlier this prep before running second @ Flemington last start behind Sparkling Satine. Has a good record @ this distance and should get this one.
2. #12 – Sparkling Satine
Has been racing well in this class recently, including beating Dane Julia last start. Back to 1600m and will be close.
3. #13 – Princess Marizza
Last starts have been in group races so hard to fault. Equally has been back a little in the pack so hard to draw a good line of form. Place @ best.
4. #11 – Sylvan Court
Struggled last start @ 1430m but steps back upto 1600m and should improve. May still be to short but look for her to be running on late.
Caulfield R8 – Australis Cup @ 5.00pm
1. #4 – Raeburn
Good win last start and an impressive record 2nd up. Has struggled @ this distance but form lines look strong and should get over these today.
2. #1 – Instructor
Won last start @ Bendigo and has good record second up. Will fight it out with Raeburn but prefer for place.
3. #10 – Vigor
Ran a close second to Reaburn last start and could again threaten. Nikolic is on so watch for improvement. Could surprise.
4. #9 – Participation
Struggled last start when well back and could not come on. Previous form had been good and does look a chance. Last start a concern so place looks best chance.

Free Horse Racing Tips Ballarat 8/10/2008
It is out to Ballarat for today's racing in Victoria. After a good weekend hopefully we can back it up with some good mid-week tips.
Here they are
Ballarat R1 – Something New 3yo Maiden Plate (@ 1.00pm)
As expected this is an open race. I like Poco Gusto. Out of Encosta Delago this is a classy horse. First up ran 2nd but was closing in late. Should go one better here. Another filly out of Encosta Delago is Rocha how was only just over run first up. Aiglon rates highly and could threaten. Long Haul is the other main chance.
1. #15 Poco Gusto 2. #16 Rocha 3. #1 Aiglon 4. #5 Long Haul
Ballarat R2 – Limo Man Maiden Plate (@ 1.35pm)
There is even less form for this race. Had a look at breeding trainers and any form. The two Exceed and Excel progeny (Giotto and Wojcinski) look good. The Hays trained Go Phenomenal should also be up there. Acquolino looks a should fill the minors
1. #8 Giotto 2. #13 Wojcinski 3. #4 Go Phenomenal 4. #1 Acquolino
Ballarat R3 – Eclipse Ford Maiden Plate (@ 2.10pm)
Myshinycash has been racing to some form. 3rd up here and should be rock solid. Berlin Belle could also threaten but has failed last two times @ mid-week level. Murphy’s Cash had been racing well prior to a spell. Could surprise first up but place looks best chance. Aloysia has been getting better but should not really threaten these.
1. #4 Myshinycash 2. #2 Berlin Belle 3. #10 Murphy’s Cash 4. #1 Aloysia
Ballarat R4 – Melbourne Marriot Hotel Maiden (@ 2.45pm)
Two starts for two 2nds should see Offenders get its maiden win today. Threepees will be right up there and could get over Offenders. The other chances include Lady Bianca, but he seems to prefer a softer track. Cauldron looks to be the other chance.
1. #11 Offenders 2. #5 Threepees 3. #7 Lady Bianca 4. #9 Cauldron
Ballarat R5 – Ballarat Come to Life Handicap (@ 3.20pm)
Captainpauli is the one to beat here. Has a good second up record and despite failure first up should get over the line first here. Of the other horses, Rock Home Late looks the best. Parva’s Pride runs hot and cold while Miss Moody River failed last start but is capable of a big run.
1. #1 Captainpauli 2. #9 Rock Home Late 3. #7 Parv’s Pride 4. #8 Miss Moody River
Ballarat R6 – Golden Nugget Bakery Handicap (@ 4.00pm)
This will be fought out between O’Reilly’s Clock and Who’s ya Daddy. O’Reilly’s Clock has good form 2nd up and will take some beating. Who’s ya Daddy won last start and has a respectable record 3rd up. I think O’Reilly’s Clock will be to strong though. Frangelico could threaten and should be watched. Electomotive is classy but has no form. Could surprise.
1. #3 O’Reilly’s Clock 2. #4 Who’s ya Daddy 3. #10 Frangelico 4. #6 Electomotive
Ballarat R7 – Red Lion Hotel Handicap (@ 4.40pm)
Dabble has only a fair record first up but has a great record over the 1200m. Oliver also makes this looks even better. Mossbemad has been racing well but steps up to mid-week here. Looks to be the main threat. Oblaque could be the surprise. Won first up in June but has not been seen since. Levant had a good first up win and should be in the mix.
1. #1 Dabble 2. #6 Mossbemad 3. #12 Oblaque4. #5 Levant
Ballarat R8 – Fraser Nevett and Fawley (@ 5.20pm)
Looking through the form. There are a couple of main chances. Leica Ding looks the best. Won 2 and placed in the other this prep. Will take some beating. Samburu Warrior has Oliver on board and has an impressive record first up and will threaten. Owzat is stepping up to mid week but has good form and will be there abouts. Absolute Star ran 3rd first up and won 2nd up last preparation. Could surprise but place looks best.
1. #13 Leica Ding 2. #2 Samburu Warrior 3. #6 Owzat 4. #3 Absolute Star
Good Luck and Good Punting

1. #4 Absolut Glam 2. #3 Mimi Lebrock 3. #12 Bellini Rose 4. #1 Forensics

Horse Racing Tips - Canterbury 1 October 2008
Here are today's tips for Canterbury. Good luck!
Canterbury R1, #1 So Bewitching (@1.05pm)
Unlucky in last and was forced to settle for second over 1500m. Looks to have the field covered today with a favourable barrier draw and will be the one to catch. Caution must be given to #5 Princess Iris which will find today's track conditions suitable (Favourite).
Canterbury R2, #7 Pacific Chief (@1.40pm)
Has been trialling well but has yet to impress on the track. # 5 Magic Tyson impressed in its first run and will treaten today however the inside mail has Pacific Chief ready to perform (Each way)
Canterbury R3, #1 De Lightning Ridge (@2.15pm)
A old Syndicate favourite with good form earlier this year. Has struggled in last two starts in July and August but should be right in this (Each way)
Canterbury R4, #3 Swinging to Win (@2.50pm)
Has placed in last two starts and recent trials have been impressive. Should be right in this but caution must be given to #2 Almoneef (Each way)
Canterbury R5, #2 Supernova (@3.25pm)
Won three starts back with a solid run over 1600m in August. Recent form has been disappointing but track conditions and draw should suit. Be wary of #4 Baby Casino in the final straight (Each way).
Canterbury R6, #9 Mean Beans (@4.04pm)
Struggling on form recently but this surprise packet has registered a win over this distance and prefers a good track. #1 Joku will be the one to beat but Look out for Mean Beans to upset the favourite (Value)
Canterbury R7, #4 Abbacina (@4.43pm)
Consistent form since February and trialling well. Unlucky in last to just miss out on the win at 1250m. The drop in distance will suit today (Favourite)

Bendigo R6 – Al Dwain Handicap 2200m @ 4.57pm
More Oxygen Please looks the one to beat here. In form and a good strike rate, hard to beat. Doosra Diamond is also in form and could threaten here drawn well and likes the distance. China Causeway is a class horse that could surprise. Last start winner but has not been seen since. Why Not Work is the dark horse. Impressive last start but erratic.
