What can I say, the free horse racing tips yesterday from The Syndicate just did not come home. From the 10 picks we could only manage two places and a late scratching. What does all that mean, a $142 loss on yesterdays tips. All the results will be posted later.

Free Horse Racing Tips - 30/07/2008

Here are today's free horse racing tips from The Syndicate for Wednesday 30/07. After a good couple of weeks The Syndicate is up for another great day. Today we will be racing at Sandown (Hillside), Victoria, Canterbury, New South Wales and Eagle Farm, Queensland.

Eagle Farm Race 1 - 1 Worth Doing (@12.23pm)
4 year old gelding that has been spelled for a year and half following ¾ length second (58kg) 1000m at this track. Returned with a half head win 900m Mdn trial slow track July 15. Carrying the 58kg again, but well rested and in a good position to make an impact in this race. (Each Way)

Sandown R2 – 11 Square Dancer (@ 12.50pm)
Has been racing well in the country lately and should do well stepping up to the metro races. Back to back placings one on a heavy track. Always hard to judge city v country form but looks promising. (Value)

Eagle Farm Race 2 - 13 Yamarjie (@12.58pm)
A previous syndicate ‘value bet’ nomination on 16 July, running second to offer the punters a discounted place payout of $9.50. This race tougher but still paying good odds and light jockey and barrier draw 3 will suit. (Value)

Canterbury R 1- 3 Walpersdorf (@ 1.08pm)
Battled hard to narrowly miss a place in last start. Track conditions will suit, look for a bold show. (Value)

Sandown R4 – 10 Starkron (@ 2.00pm)
Had been in good form before being spelled November last year. A horse with heaps of ability that should do well first up today. Has won first up before and in a fairly open race today should get the win. (Each Way)

Canterbury R 3- 1 Che Casino (@ 2.18pm)
Challenged strongly in last for the win over 2100m. Looms as a threat (Favourite)

Sandown R5 – 3 Mosseltov (@ 2.35pm)
Another horse, which is stepping up to the metro races today with solid country form. Only 3 starts for this mare but with a win and two places she is one to watch. This is also a pretty open race but winning form is good form and she should get win number 3 today. (Favourite)

Canterbury R 5- 3 Yoburg (@3.28pm)
Kicked hard in final turn in last start at this distance to claim place. Has a liking for this distance on a heavy track. Expect to see a strong finish (Value)

Canterbury R 6- 9 Piccadilly Rock (@ 4.05pm)
Won last start over 1200m with a superb last 200m run. Will start as favourite and should perform well with a strong run in final straight. (Each Way)

Eagle Farm Race 8 - 2 Crystal Sentinel(@4.33pm)
3 year old colt resuming from spell with ¾ length win July 6 then tightened for room 2nd 1350 hvy track Doomben C5 July 16. Nicely drawn, a solid jockey and the one to beat on recent form. (Favourite)

Today from an outlay of $120, the Syndicate returned $230 netting a $110 profit. This means the Syndicate has won over $1000 so far in July and has made a profit of close to $200.

Back it last start on a heavy track when it ran on for a close second. Back on a dead track today which should suit. Rawiller is off today but Egan is on and the 3kg should help. Looks in top form after two starts and will get the job done today. (Favourite)

Doomben R 3 - 4 Rebounded (@ 1.25pm)
Dug deep to post long neck win (55.5) 1400m EF Dead track June 25. Ran wide during 4 1/2 length 9th (54.0) 1350m Dmbn C6 dead track July 12. Willing to forgive last race and look to suitability this class, ideal barrier draw 1.5kg apprentice discount. Not sure of jockey's credentials for this one, but am tempted by the value odds on offer. (Value)

2 1/4 length 2nd (53.5) 1110m Dmbn F&M C4 July 2. Short neck win (54.5) 1110m C3 heavy track July 16. Speedy type who loves the wet track. nicely drawn and ready to perform.

Has been racing well in the country and should be ready to set it up today. Not and overally strong race should help as will the dead track. With its form they will come for on the totes. Get in early. (Each Way)

Doomben R 5 - 6 Rumba Jack (@ 2.40pm)
Posted 4 1/2 length win after bad start 1126m T'ba C2 June 28. Battled on for 3rd (51.5) 1200m Dmbn 3YO Hcp dead track July 12. Drawn perfectly and 3kg discount should consolidate top finish. (Favourite)

Moonee Valley R6 – 9 Mock (@ 3.30pm)
Had been racing well with back to back placing before last start and should return to that form. Likes a dead track and stays at 1600. Miller jumps on board and gets a 3kg allowance which should help further. (Value)

First up after a spell. Had been racing well prior to break and should return on in good form. Has won first up before and has a good record at this distance. Has not had a win on the heavy track but that should all change today (Favourite)

Eagle Farm R 2 - 1 Afsani's Star (@12.58pm)
2 year old gelding at first start. Sound pedigree and strong 2 length win Gatton trial July 1. Coupled with the favourable barrier draw and 2kg discount to the field would appear to give this horse every chance of a podium finish. Nice odds at $18 at time of writing are too enticing to pass this one over. (Value)

4 year old gelding. Sound effort in lower classes with 1 1/2 length win 1200m South Coast C1 dead track then 1 1/2 length 2nd 1200m Ipswich E&G C2 July 4. Competitive horse with an ideal draw and 3kg apprentice discount make this todays horse overlooked by the bookies - look for price tumble on this one closer to race start. (Value)

Bendigo R8 – 10 Potomac (@ 4.25pm)
Hays and Oliver team up on this likely winner. Has been placed last three starts (including 1 win) and again looks like it could get the money today. First hit out on a heavy track but will have been well prepared. Dropped out last before running on last start and may to the same today. (Each Way)

Here are today's free horse racing tips from The Syndicate for this weekend. Good luck

Gold Coast R 2 - 10 Remingino
Long shot roughie offering big value. Back from spell after a couple of unlucky races on local tracks. Readied for comeback with 4th 900m Gold Coast Trial slow track June 24. Home track and carrying lightest in race at 51kg. Worth a punt at this price ($26). (Value Bet)

Belmont R7 - Centrum
This horse has tumbled in from $21 to $8 at time of writing. Good record this track and distance. Should get a good run this alley, up near the pace and has solid each way claims. (Each Way)

Belmont R3 - 10 Classy Nugget
Sticking with this horse after good win here 2 starts ago. Then was 5th on the turn when 2 lengths 5th of 11 to Kim Luck. Has solid each way claims with the right run. (Each way)

Caulfield R1 - 2 Joontoo Gemini
Has had two recent wins and has been there abouts i his other starts this preparation. Has form on a dead track and with a 3kg allowance should make it back to back wins this weekend.

Caulfield R3 – 5 Just Like El
In great form of late and can’t see to many threats in this race. Has won twice before at this distance and last start win was on a dead track. Can’t see it being beaten today. (Favourite)

Caulfield R7 – 6 Larson
Not a great run last time got caught wide and spent too much energy early on. Should go much better today. Races well after a few hit outs and has form on a dead track. Should go close. (Value)

Here are todays free horse racing tips from The Syndicate for Doomben.


Doomben R1 - 12 Yamarjie

Maiden Race with a handful of contenders who could take this one. Yamarjie has been overlooked by the bookies and could well be the dark horse of the field. Trialled at Gold Coast Slow Track June 24 - credible 4th place from an unfavorable draw and checked in traffic.
Drawn ideally in this race, and with odds at $21 time of writing is the value bet of the day. (Value)

Doomben R7 - 8 Isaidiam

Recorded 4 and half length win (57.0) 900 Gold Coast 3YO Maiden dead track June 28. Time was slightly quicker than Class 2 and is well prepared for the rise in class in this field. Suited to barrier draw No . 6 and a poses a big threat. (Eachway)

Here are todays free horse racing tips from The Syndicate for Sandown.

Sandown R3 – 7 Heritage Port

A horse in great form at the moment. Has placed the last 4 starts (including two wins and should go back to back today. Has good form on a heavy track with 5 wins from 15 starts and with Mertens on board has 3kg less then last start. Proving value at the moment but may drift in. (Value)

Sandown R5 – 4 Tictacs

Another horse which has been in form lately. Was devastating last start coming away to win by 6 lengths. Has a tougher barrier draw today but with Rawiller onboard again today, should get the job done. (Eachway)

Sandown R7 – 7 All Cheval

Been racing well lately consistently placing over the past several starts. Has form on a heavy track and will get a 3kg relief today. A couple of threats but should be to good. (Favourite)

Horse Racing Tips

The Syndicate will be returning tomorrow for another round of free horse racing tips. With a lot of action around tomorrow we will be concentrating on Sandown and Belmont.

After a breakeven weekend (Bet $200 for a $192 return), we will be hoping to go a bit better and return a good return tomorrow.

WA Tips

Belmont R1 - 14 Search Me

Chance at long odds. Trialled well at Lark Hill and latest outing was 2 lengths victor over Soviet Banker 950m trial there. Drawn a bit wide, but in between the two favourites for the race so hoping can tuck in behind for a clear passage home. Carrying the lightest weight in the race by 2kg. (Value)

Belmont R5 - 1 Cohort

Don't bother with the place bet for this one as will be paying short odds. One of the emerging star performers in the state - only a thrown jockey will prevent this one from taking the honours. (Favourite)

Belmont R7 - 4 Classy Nugget

Won 2 and runner up of 3 of last 5 starts, latest when 4th on the turn and displayed glimpses of big things to come with a classy 1 1/4 length victory over Troubled Smile 1400m. Keep this horse in the black book. (Each Way)

Victoria Tips

Moonee Valley R3 - 1 Hooker Road

Been placed last 5 starts. Last start win at this distance in this class. Has form on a dead track and should go on to win this one. Noted that it is a Hurdles event. (Eachway)

Moonee Valley R6 - 9 Doin’thehardyards

Racing well, placed last two starts against similar class. Light weight should help on the dead track. Main competition has been scratched. Should go one better and win today. (Favourite)

Moonee Valley R7 - 1 Ma Shang

In top form, third race back from a spell and yet to lose. Will have some tough competition today but with Rawiller on board should not be beaten today. (Favourite)

NSW Tips

Canterbury R1 - 6 Rain Game

Chased well in last start to be unlucky by a nose taking second. Has drawn well and will be a strong chance with a drop in weight. Look for a strong finish on a dead track. (Value)

Canterbury R2 - 5 Open Handed

4 year old mare due for another top finish at this distance. Held on for the win four starts back at Canterbury over 1900m. Drop in weight will assist. (Each-way)

Canterbury R4 - 7 Choican

Worked right to the line four wide to take second in last start. Drop in weight and extra distance will suit. (Each-way)

Canterbury R6 - 5 Delago Star

Boxed in last to prevent three from three wins. Last two trials suggests ready to make amends. Look for this one to kick clear. (Favourite)

NSW Tips

There are no Syndicate tips for today, we will have a look at the form for tomorrow and see what we have.

Hawkesbury R3 3 - Flashing Eagle

We have a had a bit of a look and the horse looks good. Rates highly and won its recent barrier trail on a slow track. Only had the two starts. Last time first up ran second and should do alright here. (Eachway)

Results - 09 July 2008

Well not a great day yesterday. We scored 2 places and a few 4ths and 5ths. Tip of the day has to be Gosford R 7 - 17 Anavila. Was only a half head from the win paying $13.90/$3.90. Look for it in the future.

For the day we returned $54 from an out lay of $100. We will be hoping to do a fair bit better in the future.

Lesson of the day, if the horse is running on a heavy track; make sure the horse has form on a heavy track.

Victoria Tips

Sandown R3 - 4 Picalero

Rates highly, won last two starts on a heavy track @ 1400 and 1600. Has 3kg allowance today, which should help on the heavy track. Has been hitting the line strong should go well today. (Value)

Sandown R5 - 3 Nuclear Force

Back from a spell but has won first up before. Highly rated and has won @ this distance in this class previously. Has won on a dead track before but no heavy track form. Value early but will probably jump favourite. (Favourite)

QLD/NSW Tips

Eagle Farm R7 - 2 Icedane

In form sprinter coming off back to back wins and placed in last 4 starts. Apprentice jockey Sheree Drake has a sound record on this horse, and should readily overcome the wider barrier draw. The 2kg weight claim an added bonus to negate the heavy track. (Favourite)

Gosford R6 - 8 Misty D'Bird

4 year old mare on verge of breaking through for the win. Unlucky in last two starts being nudged out for the win in both races, and ready to make amends. Barrier draw and track condition suits. (Eachway)

Gosford R 7 - 17 Anavila

Outside roughie coming back from the spell and conditions and low weight suitable. Placed in last start at Gosford before resting up, and with the long odds on offer is the value racer for the day. (Value)

All right so here is our first rounds of tips. We are still developing the system a bit so have a look at the horses, our reasons behind the tip and see what you think. We will be keeping track of all our bets.

Well not a great start. Missed the boat with the first tip (Tribali), while Adamlee ran a solid third to give us a return. Things can only get better.

Has been training well and should get up for a maiden win today.

Has been there and there abouts in its last couple of starts. Racing
in the same class today with a 3kg kid on board should help. Markets
showing plenty of value at the moment. Should shorten some.
